Nicki Minaj vs American Idol Judges

So….we finally saw the *huge fight* between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj in tonight Idol. *rolls eyes* not only was it not a big fight but it was not just Nicki Minaj fight as the media initially reported. Now there could very well be another fight on the way that hasn’t aired yet but we will have to keep watching to see.

It starts with contestant making the statement “I tried the country thing”. Keith Urban is instantly offended, causing the contestant to then say she is *soulful country*. Mariah and Randy then jump in and kinda side with Keith saying she had a voice for country and basically she needs to be county etc. so instead if critiquing her singing they talked about how she should be country.

After several minutes if debating her *country* sounding vice they finally ask Nicki to start off the voting. Nicki made a comment “finally the country debate is over”. She also attempted to defend the girl and was quickly iver talked. Which then turns to an exchange of words between Mariah And Nicki, with Nicki saying she is just going to keep talking and Mariah saying she always does anyways. It just got super petty super fast.

So after they voted the girl through to Hollywood…Randey made a comment about him having 30years in the business and being a major producer. Nicki got upset and stormed out.

After watching the first 3 episodes its apparent that the other judges don’t respect Nicki Minaj’s opinion. It seems like she is fighting for her voice to be heard on the show. Which on one hand I can understand why….cuz I mean she is a rapper and not a singer. Say what you want but Nicki can sell music. She can successfully transitioned into a pop artist and has a huge international following. I mean she was out on the show for a reason. Whether you agree with her career or not she has made a huge name herself. I think the who,e argument shouldn’t have happened. Every single one of the judges were out of line at that point. Randy snide remark at the end about his 30 years of experience was unnecessary and petty.

It’s almost like they are pushing Nicki’s buttons just to get a reaction out of here. Very interested to see how the rest of the season goes with the judges.
